Aynsley Teacup ~ Fall Flowers

Today we have an Aynsley teacup and saucer for our Teacup Tuesday. First, here’s my original Instagram post.

Today’s teacup color palette seems particularly fall-like to me! The peach dahlias pick up the peach flowers in the cup, and the gold stand lends some warmth. I love the rustic touch of the fence in the background too! Happy Tuesday everybody!

Extra Teacup Tidbits

This cup gave me visions of a lovely old parlor on a fall afternoon. The sun filtering in and the breeze gently blowing the white lace curtains at the window. Rough wood on the floor under a warm colored rug.

A couple old friends sitting at a well used but richly polished round wooden table, peacefully sipping their tea. There’s a bouquet of peach dahlias on the table, and you can hear the far-off buzzing of bees outside.

Ahhhh … warm fall!

Manufacturer’s Info

Aynsley was a very famous British bone china maker from the late 1700s till the 2000-teens. It got popular when the Queen commissioned a personal set from the founder’s grandson who was then in charge. (He’s the one who really made Aynsley famous.) Later the company changed hands several times, but was always well known and had a good reputation. It’s now owned by Belleek. You can still buy an Aynsley teacup, but the vintage ones are hard to come by. More on Aynsley HERE.

I couldn’t find the name of this pattern – if anyone knows, please Comment below. I’d love to find out!

Aynsley Teacup – Behind the Scenes

As I wrote in my original IG post, this Aynsley teacup is particularly fall-like to me. Probably because of that one rusty colored flower. The maple trees in the side yard were really pretty at the time, so I thought I’d try some pictures with leaves.

What I didn’t realize, was how far UP those leaves were! Unless I’d been lying on the ground looking up, there wasn’t much chance of getting my cup and the leaves in the same shot! (And I didn’t think you’d want to see just the bottom of the saucer!)

So I actually ended up putting my little marble-topped table up on the barbecue! That got me an extra 3 feet! But now I had to go grab the kitchen step stool to be tall enough myself to take the picture!

But I got some leaves!
